Lensmen’s 67 Years in Business this Month
Even though the cameras, technology and culture has changed since the 1950’s, The Lensmen team are still hard at work in the media business. Since our founding in 1952, by Andrew Farren and Padraig MacBrian, Lensmen has covered political events, religious events, GAA finals PR events and press photography. From 1952 to -1995 Lensmen accumulated over 40 million negatives! A lot of these photographs have major historic value, they include images of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Brendan Behan, President Kennedy, and Presidential Inaugurations. You can view a range of these photographs on our sister site, Irish Photo Archive
In 1995, when both founders retired, our current managing director, Susan Kennedy took over Lensmen. As companies media needs changed to include video and photography for online use, Susan ensured Lensmen moved with the times, and has expanded Lensmen to include a video and drone department. We also create time-lapse’s for construction companies, fit-outs and one off day time-lapses as well.
We couldn’t achieve our excellent work without our wonderful team behind the camera!
