Hundreds of Women Join Mega Effort to Raise €100,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland in Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland saw hundreds of women hit the ground running in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon to raise funds for cystic fibrosis services. Almost entirely dependent on public donations for its work, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland is hoping to raise €100,000 for vital support for people with cystic fibrosis, including dedicated cystic fibrosis staff in hospitals, and patient support grants in areas such as transplant assessment, fertility treatment, home exercise equipment, counselling, and research.

The campaign comes against a backdrop of Ireland having the highest prevalence of cystic fibrosis in the world – with more than 1,300 people living with the condition in Ireland – and some of the most severe types. To donate to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, visit cfireland.ie
