This year to help Fighting Blindness Ireland launch their annual fundraising campaign, Jeans for Genes Day, Chanelle McCoy, Holly Carpenter, and Shane Byrne were all on hand.

On Friday, September 22, Fighting Blindness ask the people of Ireland to wear jeans for a day and try to raise funds, as well as awareness, to help cure genetic sight loss.

The launch took place at the “opulent and quirky” whisky bar, 37 Dawson Street in Dublin. 37, along with its seventeen sister venues, will all be taking part in the campaign. The staff in all 18 venues will be wearing blue jeans for the day and selling blue cocktails with all proceeds going to the charity.

It was an absolute joy getting to film some of the promotional press footage for the launch. Everyone was so kind and excited to support such a great cause. As photographers who wish to capture the incredible visuals of this world, we want to help as many people as possible see this beautiful world. Everyone at Lensmen will be wearing our genes on Friday, we hope you’ll join us!
