Drone Photography and Videography

Aerial Photography and Video

Drones, or an unmanned area vehicle (UAV) are small machines that fly in the air capturing photography and video. The controller of the drone, the pilot operates the drone in a designated operating zone.  We also bring a spotter who helps keep an eye on the drone. Professional drone pilots have to hold a drone licence and be granted permission from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) to fly. Lensmen drones produce excellent aerial views, as our drone cameras shoot in 4K. Aerial Photography and video is quickly becoming one of the latest trends in modern videos as they can be used for a number of purposes.

Aerial Services

Drones are used for a wide variety of projects and are useful for a range of sectors. Many aerial videos are useful for marketing purposes. They can give an outdoor event a new look, or show the magnificent views of a tourist area. Drones pick up a lot of information in a short space of time, which can help with risk assessments, building surveys, real-estate aerial views and roof surveys, waste management and monumental surveys. Also, the UAV gives images from the air viewed from the ground as real-time footage.

Drone Uses

Drones are a really fantastic way of getting sky-high views without the costs, or necessities of helicopters, cherry pickers, cranes etc. They really can give a full perspective to an area, in a simple video.

Depending on your project, Lensmen can combine photography, film, aerial video services, and time-lapse to create vibrant videos that can be used for a multiple services.

If the job was to go ahead:

  • We will need you to send us a letter stating you are booking us to do the fly and also the Google Maps or GPS Coordinates for the site
  • We will send a full flight plan and apply for a licence and is normally issued in about two to three days
  • We can’t guarantee this until we hear back from them.

For internal filming, permission, and cooperation is sought from the client or subcontractor before a drone is launched.
