A side of our video production we are aiming to grow in the new year is producing video news stories – students would be working alongside a freelancer producer helping with finding, researching, recording and editing news stories. At Lensmen, we have syndication to major newspapers and publications around Ireland. You can see some of the video stories we have on our website and also on Dublin Live.
We are also possibly looking for writers to help develop our blog, this would be perfect for those with a big interest in post-production/video/

Responsibilities

Researching news stories, planning production of the shoot, organising equipment needed, getting in contact with interviewees

Scripting when needed, directing shoots

Editing footage together to create packages for online publications

Getting in contact with national online publications to publish the story

Create short blog pieces for Lensmen website to go with video stories
Skills and Requirements

Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite ( Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects)

Knowledge of video/DSLR cameras

Ability to work well under pressure

Blog Content Creator
Responsibilities

Researching and writing blog pieces for the Lensmen website

Compiling information from the videographers and clients about projects we have worked on to post about it on our website

Ensure SEO and keywords are up kept throughout the blog

Create a distinct style and look for each of the blogs.

We will be looking to hire interns on an 8-week basis at the end of semester two. Interns will be required to work 9 am-5 pm, 5 days a week at minimum wage (€10.50).
This internship has the opportunity to extend to 6 months for the right candidate.
*We are also happy to take on any students for work experience during the semester, who are interested in photography or video production – this would be on an unpaid basis*
