Lensmen has assisted with a public project to place a GoPro live-cam across from the General Post Office (GPO) building. The 1916 Easter Rising began at the GPO, and even though it was heavily damaged during the Rising, has continued to serve as the main post office for Dublin for over 200 years, making it a very important building in Ireland’s history.

This project utilizes GoPro cameras to capture a 24-hour live view of activity outside the GPO. Lensmen uses GoPro cameras for live-cam and time-lapse projects as the cameras are rugged, able to handle wet and cold weather, and have great battery life. With the 170 degree lens, the live-cam is also able to capture a very wide view of the activity outside of the GPO. View Lensmen’s time-lapse video project of the GPO here.

This project was done in cooperation with evercam.
