On September 28, 2016, Bord Bia has launched a new consumer research centre. It allowed food companies to better prepare their products for international sale. Bord Bia is aiming at doubling exports to €19 billion by 2025. The research centre, the “Thinking House” was designed to support food firms achieve this goal.
The newly launched facility enables companies to access information on the performance of their products abroad. Further, it provides a conference centre for workshops, meetings and presentations. This way, companies can hold discussion groups in order to maximise their successes abroad.
The Consumer Insight Team at Bord Bia is currently working with over 100 Irish brands a year across all sectors. Its recent successes and export growth over the past six years has positioned it at the heart of Ireland’s economic recovery.
