Last month saw the 22nd birthday of the annual Justice Media Awards, held by the law Society. The awards aim to reward outstanding journalism in the print and broadcast media that contributes to the public’s understanding of the law, the legal system or any specific legal issue. This year showcased some high quality work as all categories bar one received two awards each – The Irish Times did particularly well, with 3 of its journalists being recognised. This high standard across the board was further underlined by the fact that the judges were unable to decide on a winner for the “Overall Award.

We at Lensmen were honoured to record the event, as we have for the last several years and it’s always a pleasure to be involved with such prestigious events. Congratulations to all the winners for their skill and hard-work getting the recognition it deserves. A full list of winners and their articles can be found at the awards website.
